Project goals

What we did

  • We implemented custom pages with WordPress
  • Access control was changed to visual
  • Integrations with wind power data were implemented
  • Search engine optimization was renewed and social sharing was improved
  • Multilingualism (Finnish and English)
  • Curu’s modern mobile menu
  • We also updated the colors and fonts a bit

The initial situation of the project

We implemented the previous websites for Puhur in 2019, so the pages were already out of date in 5 years. Puhuri has also grown as a company, so the website did not create an image of the actual size of the company.

With these starting homes, it was easy to start the project.

Project goals

The speaker hoped that the pages would be renewed while respecting the old, but modernizing everything. We also wanted to take the scope of the company’s business into account on the website and bring more information about the company to customers.

Job search sections and employees’ experiences were also needed for the site.

Integrations with wind power data had to be implemented so that the passer-by gets real-time energy data from wind farms.

We also wanted page maintenance to be as easy as possible, so we ended up with a visual editor so that the administrator can see live what the updates look like on real pages.

Solution

We planned and drew the visual look of the new pages and renewed the layout quite thoroughly while respecting the old one. We realized all of Puhuri’s wishes and goals. We also think we succeeded quite well in that. The speaker also got to influence all of this during the project.

The speaker was already using Curu’s modern mobile menu, so its selection was the default.
